Are they done with patches?
Last one was in December...

Actually they released a patch near the end of January, it just went unannounced.

They are currently bringing that patch to consoles. Afterwards it's likely they'll bring another patch to PC, but that's not known for sure. PB have said they "cannot comment on it yet."

Honestly, the game doesn't have that much bugfixing needed anymore. The only things that need fixing are the troll 'sweep attack' hitbox, certain two-handed weapon reaches and better balancing for the black hole attack and the explodey plasma shots.

None of those is even remotely gamebreaking.

do you have notes on what they fixed in Jan?
Zenith Mar 19, 2018 @ 4:32pm
The rumour mill has been saying that they are working on a sequel, and if true, then further patches are probably unlikely.

I agree with this. Id rather them start working on the sequel right now!!! No point in bugfixing the game for 20 years. Nothing will ever be perfect, but nothing in this game is gamebreaking that ive come across in 60 hours

Sadly, no.

Don't listen to the fanboys that deny any bugs. I've experienced a lot myself after the last patch and there are still major quests that are bugged. The Abessa Conflict, the most important quest in the game, is bugged for everybody. They've ignored dozens of complaints asking for a fix.
I've played through the game 3 times total (one with each patch) and have NEVER had Abessa bugged. Ever. Secondly, you dumped 90 hours into the game early on, then you decided the game was bad... and yet you're STILL playing it, enough to come across "major quest bugs" with the Dec/January patch? Are you actually serious?

My god dude. Just... take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ look in the mirror, would ya?

I've read they try to stay connected with the player community via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Somewhere in February they've mentioned they are still working on patches - and not only on ELEX 2.

You've continued playing the game in December and January? That's amazing because in this forum you pretend since Nov 2017 that you hate it - you've even deleted your over 500 positive posts from Oct/Nov 2017 in this forum.

You can save it or contribute to weakening it, so the Albs can occupy it. Story-wise it is completely irrelevant.

And you know, maybe they could of fixed the cutscene where the antagonist suddenly gets a new voiceactor and appearance. Explain why this is still in the game?
That has been beaten to death in an older topic. You need to ask the developers or the studio that has done the English voice-over. In Risen 3, the NPC "Bones" in a single sentence suddenly talks with a different voice, too, unless I'm mistaken. That can happen, if something is changed very late during development and if a voice actor isn't available. Don't make a big fuss about a minor issue.
40 hrs in and no bugged quests at all and i have done almost all that have appeared till this point
(start of chapter 3). Also the few minor bugs i have come across are no more promiment than what you see in any other game heck i would argue that some AAA have had many more issues.
As for combat and A.I it could be better but rarely what that youtube video shows.
Go watch some bug videos for a bethesda game or kingdom come D just as bad if not worse at times.

I had an issue where i couldnt talk to nasty after her second initiation quest where i had to kill the troll thing. She just stood there and pulled her waepon out and put it away constantly trying to engage enemies that didnt exist next to her throne. I tried reloading, shooting her, removing my companion, i was stumped and even google searches were coming up with nothing. So i went out and complaeted one of the main quests and it fixed it. That was the only bug in 60 hours for me. Nothing a little bit of troubleshooting couldnt solve.

Its a big game so expect people to walk into walls, or run off and die, you will get stuck on terrain, get killed by overexagerated reach of specific attack animations. Nothing worth complaining about if your not needlessly picky imo. Iv played too many games to expect anything else from a game this large and dynamic

Fisherman dude is right about some things tho. Abessa bug, desynchronization in animations and hits, and ridiculous hitboxes still the issue.

I agree with that. But I think there's no gamebreaking bug and in my 11 hours playtime or so, I didn't have had any bug at all. The strange hitboxes were pissing me off first, but know I can handle it. Also, this Byzantine dude writes bad things about the game in every thread, no life and stuff.
While many players don't like the combat system, I have to say that it's one of the best PB has created so far (my opitnion). Of course it's a little bit clunky and all and it could be smoothen quite a bit, but hey. It's the same direction as Dark Souls while DS nearly perfected their system and PB tried something new. Stamina, timing, reaction, etc... I really like the combat system! And I can't understand how some reviewers flamed it to the ground.
Why would you let an average pleb review this game? I mean, I've watched videos from average plebs playing the game and I can't believe how they're not able to make a 3-4 hit comb. Like rlly? What's the difficulty in understanding a simple, but hard to master combat system?

I would appreciate a patch which makes the inventory look prettier and stuff. I don't enjoy scrolling through the inventory and given the time I have to use it, it would be worth to change.

It's not a debate. This is literally how the game is scripted, and the developers have ignored it.
Be more explicit. It has been confirmed before that you can take sides in the Abessa conflict, but meta-gaming may not be a valid way to enforce a certain outcome. Just because you know that Riley wants to modify the energy shield does not imply that you can save the city by ignoring Riley or by refusing to give him the hardware. You need to meet multiple requirements, if you want to save the city.

And in case you complete his mission and he survives and the game incorrectly makes him say a wrong line, that would be a minor bug nobody would deny. All that matters in that case would be to report the problem to the developers using their official tech support forum.

For the record, I don't still play the game. I tested it out after the patch to see if they salvaged it, but they didn't.
Not credible at all.

Timing - gothic.
Reaction - gothic.
The only new thing in elex is stamina. And while this add some more in depth strategic aspect its not something special.

Combat system has a lot of potential. But it desperately needs tweaking, rebalancing and polishing.

- double ground slam Cyclops/ troll attack - first swing hits before attack animation finished second swing has 50 miles range

- these godamnfckn chicken monsters who for no reason immune to stagger during their stupid 3 hit combo

- pointlessness of parry since it gives you no benefits in comparison to simple and safe backstep dodge

- knocked down enemy will completely skip animation and instantly counter attack u if u try to hit him on the ground

Yes these clunky mechanics and stupid bugs are not game breaking but annoying enough to p!$$ off cuz they everywhere

FYI, they just uploaded a couple new test branches only a few hours ago:
https://steamdb.info/app/411300/history/

Very likely that another patch is on the way.

I wish they patch bugged "Fresh blood" quest, when Rat and Blake run around the desert and cannot stop. This blocks "Fragile power" quest for me. Did a lot of loading from before, tried to sleep in other places, spend couple of hours trying to overcome the issue, still no luck. Pity, I love the game so much.
