Final Arrangements quest bugged? spoilers

ive tried finishing the quest both ways and both ways fails.

killing Eli , ends with fails no matter what .

if i let Eli stick with his plan . he fights with wolf and always, kills wolf, after that he gets attacked by robots, but he becomes inmortal since he cant be killed .

am i missing something? is there actually a way to complete this quest succesfully ?

not sure what ya asking for this quest has at least 3 ways.

dont help eli at all > he becomes a brainwashed-zombie

get eli his stuff > he challanges wolf, most likly killing wolv

you inform wolv > lure eli outa town > kill eli

both ways , kill or let them fight each other dont work is bugged atm .

the first option. you kill him, quest gets completed and right after you get a fail quest message .

2d option, Wolf always dies , and Eli becomes a god since not even 2 colosus and 3 guard robots can kill him .

have tried doing this quest in every possible way . such as doing the quest right away as soon as i get it . stealing his weapon, before i even get the quest to get it done as fast as i can . but no matter what, the outcome is the same .

after telling eli to stick with his plan (after i brought him his equipment) i followed Eli to Wolfs position. They started to talk and fought it out. I was lucky since the patrolling mechs were just out of aggro range. Eli managed to kill Wolf on a 1v1 easily. As an outlaw, that's the outcome i was planning for. BUT Eli hasn't had enough yet!? I had never drawn my weapon and still he attacked me right after killing Wolf. Also, the quest didn't show completed or anything. I will try running away after eli kills wolf and talking to him later.

by the way ive tried something funny, when i pickpocket eli just before the fight, he draws a radiant chainsaw sword instead that seems to do less damage.

update: so i've tried running from eli, successfully loosing aggro. after returning to him, he attacked me again on sight. *sigh*. I then searched for a bed and went to sleep until noon. Eli still stood by Wolf's corpse. Again, he attacked me on sight. He doesn't seem to forget... except i did no harm to him at all! gnnh! Also, you can interact freely with other people while you're in combat. So the game doesn't recognise you're being attacked, or so it feels. The map is red and there is combat music but Eli chasing you doesn't seem to prevent you from interacting and engaging in conversation with npcs like your companion. definitely seems bugged. grinds my gears.

Still bugged till today. Final arrangement will be completed but A wolf in sheep's clothing gets denied. But in my case after testing several paths, I ended up with Wolf and Eli both dead in their confront.

I get the impression Eli pretended to get you to help him just so he can turn on you. He is an outlaw after all and as Wolf Says some times crazy. I think the only way to do this mission and keep both alive is to not do it and allow Eli to be brainwashed which if you're playing as an outlaw it's not the outcome you want.
