ELEX
Drinking elex potions or not?
I want to play "good", empathetic Berserk and I think is it worth drinking elex potions, will my personality and dialogues change when I do it?

Cold increase per Elex potion (either size) or Natural Elex is 0.1 only.

-''drank''-
Expressive 1-10 and Purely Emotional 0 are the lowest cold values. Irrational is 11-20.

So it's better not to drink XD

There is no good or bad in this game. Being emotional in this game is basically acting like a whiny ♥♥♥♥♥. Berserkers are NOT the good guys either.

I don't think there is a good or bad ending. Actually, I believe the "cold" ending to be the good one.

I drank a lot of them, also used dialogues that decreased my cold lot of times, but opposite too. Im 100 hours into the game and i never moved from neutral cold. So yes you can drink them. They give you stat points and learning points which are essential. Also im a berserker.

Not really, i only had problem with this once. You just need to think about the conversation.

It's a bit misleading.

If the answer is logic or common sense, then it's cold. If the answer is whining, yelling, swearing, then it is emotional.

Nah. Can you give one specific example at least?

As @HARRY points out, for cold decrease you are supposed to let Jax show emotions and nerves, curse, use swear words, be verbally rude as part of making Jax rediscover his human nature. Cold decrease is not about being nice, friendly or benevolent. But be careful with intimidation. Bluntly threatening somebody without a second thought leads to cold increase.

Avoid all emotionless decisions where Jax would only follow a certain logic or would consider killing someone in the blink of an eye. Showing willingness to kill somebody, other forms of clear brutality and unscrupulousness, and clearly stone-hearted behavior lead to cold increase.

Elex potions increase your coldness by a very small amount, so you'd have to drink a ton of them to affect gameplay. I drank a whole bunch during my gameplay and still got the emotional ending.

What I read somewhere:
Never use the potions till end game, then you can save/load the game and get all achievements in one playthrough if you do it right

they are for a lot of people yes, you can have your own opinion about it, but achievements are a big deal on any platform

That definition of "one playthrough" is somewhat misleading. You will need to stay factionless for a very long time and make a fortune even before you are permitted to join all three factions, so you can afford as many Elex potions as you will need to gain access to all faction abilities. Or else you would need to replay a big portion of the game after reloading the single savegame file as to earn a lot of cash. Furthermore, while still without a faction, you need to make sure you don't mess up the Abessa Conflict mission and the romance options.
