Can't join Outlaws

I finished Tramp Confederacy, did all the favours for Mad Bob and a few other quests, but whenever I talk to to William he just tells me that he is busy. No dialogue tree appears and I can't ask him how my standing with the faction currently is, etc.

Which ones were that? When I talk to her asking her to train me is the only option I get.

there's that quest about helping chloe out of an extortion racket. You do the quest together with Rat so try talking to him.

there's a follow up. rat should tell you he has some kind of plan and you should talk with him again after a few days. 2 in my case.

To join the outlaws you need to:

Be the champion of the Arena (Beat Big Jim)
Solve Chloe's debt problem
Fix the scrap problem for mad bob AND do the quest where you deal with Ace and his brother.

I have to beat Big Jim as well? He told me he will not fight me until I already am an Outlaw. What is suspicious/odd to me is how I can't ask William about my standing within the faction like I can do with the Cleric and Berserker leaders.

Well, nevermind. I beat Big Jim and was able to join the Outlaws afterwards. Thanks.
