What advantage does turning off the converters give you?
I talked to the separatists and got the method to turn them off. So I turned off the southern abessa, norther abessa, and apparently Edan was never working? Going to turn off Tavar next.

From what I see this isnt part of a quest, at least yet. I figure I might as well turn them off now since I already cleared them out. Easy exp when you do it too.

Does turning them off weaken the Alb in the game any? Perhaps lessen their numbers or make them easier to defeat somehow?

I recall there being a quest later on which directs you to converters that are still active.

As for the converter in Edan, that one was attacked and destroyed by the Berserkers before the story of the game.

Is tied to the main quest.

Ok. I was hoping to see in the main quest somewhere where it lists the converters I have to turn off, and keep track of them. Maybe I havent progressed far enough yet.
