Hoping for an Elex 2 also, it seems as if the story could continue, based on the choices you made.
It is so good I'm sure The Outer Worlds will not be able to compete either lmao.
Is it not true they had started work on Elex 2 before Elex 1 was even released?
Also how many copies did Elex sell?
Well here are some inaccurate stats:
Elex:
https://steamspy.com/app/411300
Risen 3
https://steamspy.com/app/249230
So I'll assume it didn't sold less than 200k copies. So I guess they did break the even point to make a decent profit.
I just hope with Elex 2 that the low points of this game are improved. One thing they really excel at is their world building. But character movement could be drastically refined.
Enough to make them move on ELEX 2 without even fixing the bugs that this game has since release, yeah nice devs
They are mainly known in german speaking countries and rusia, apart from that they are not that known but their games are very well rated by those that did know them.
They are my favorite rpg devs and for me those are the best RPGs aswell
elex was for many the first rpg they even played from those devs, Risen might have been the first real international attempt (at least by digital distribution), more so Risen2 which was the first steambound game
Saying a game values by its popularity on the market is very wrong. By that definition Witcher1 would be a terrible game and only got good cause Witcher 3 (and partially 2) made it a world success. Witcher was a nieche game aswell before Witcher3, but more known than Gothic
By that logic, Call of Duty is the best FPS game ever made.
Anyways, as someone who loves Piranha Bytes, all of their games are honestly broken. They all have some ridiculous jank that forces you to play by their rules, and really encouraging exploitation of features.
For instance, try playing Gothic 3 all the way through without abusing terrain to stun lock or trap your opponents in majority of fights.
Elex is quite similar where ranged weapons can be a god send because you can easily sit too far away for enemies to path to you in time. With the Jetpack this is even more apparent, but there also tends to be more enemies with guns who will just shoot you back. Unlike say Gothic 3 where enemies with a bow are pretty rare or more easily dodged.
I have played most of the Risen and Gothic games and they are all the same. Quick frontend appeal to trick the gamer into buying the game, play for 2 hours....realize that its always the same and delete. Good thing PB games are usually cheaper than others sooner.
Oh by the way...COD is one of the best FPS's ever made. Hands down. Can't be disputed. It's Tom Brady good.....everyone knows its the best and hates it for attention.
Enjoy!
