Which mod?
Where do you installed the mod.
What is the problem. Does the game start? Crash in the menu or at loading the save? Error message.
Does the game work without the mod?
It is really easy, you want to find your Elex data folder, go into "My computer" and search Elex, if like me you need to clear some space then this might take about 5 minutes to find it. Once the search has found it there should be about 4 folders there, go into all of them and find the one with the data folder, make a shortcut out of the data folder for ease next time. Now you have the folder go ahead and install whatever mod you like, for me I used this https://www.nexusmods.com/elex/mods/19
Now you will need to install it manually because there is no mod manager to support Elex that I know of. Once done, find the file you just installed, it will be zipped so you need to extract the files with 7zip, if you don't have it it is a 100%must in modding anything ever. Or that one that sounds like a dragon but I don't use it so.
Okay now you have installed 7zip, extract the file and open it, it will contain a data folder, simply copy it, and go to the data folder for Elex and past it, the rest is done for you.
Here is 7zip https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Have fun and enjoy modding, any more questions just ask.
And no that's not what he wanted to know, he asked "Where is the problem?" as if he doesn't see an issue and the OP is an idiot. The modding community if full of people that act as if modding is the easiest thing in the world, an it is but you have to learn it first. When I first started I was told to go and watch hour long video's that barely cover the point and were never easy to follow.
You get 7.zip or winrar.
You find a mod you want.
You download it.
You extract he files with one of those two systems. (To do that right click and find where it says "Extract files" then click okay in the pop up)
You go into the new file that is created with the extracted data.
To be safe you copy everything in that folder.
Then you find the game.exe folder and through that you will find the data folder.
You past the data you extracted from the mod folder into the data folder.
You then activate the mod in a Mod Manager. Outside of an MM you can sometimes activate the mod in the game menu. Other than that I don't know, I haven't had to do that yet.
If the mod data folder contains a folder in it named "data" and has other files outside of that. Then It is best to copy all of them and put them all in the game.exe folder. The rest will sort itself out and go where it needs to go because that's how files work.
You do not touch a "Packed" folder, whatever it is you don't need to worry about it. That's on the Mod authors end (Unless you want to start making mods, in which case you will need to watch hour long video's on a multitude of different topics and install many different programs. In then end it's "Easy" but still takes forever)
