ELEX
Stuck on loading screen
So like the title says right now I am stuck on the loading screen of this game. The first time I launched the game it worked fine, but now a few days later it just refuses to go past the initial loading screen. Things that I have tried: Restart the computer (as suggested in familiar thread), wait (waited for 30 minutes and still nothing), verify game cache and right now I am trying to reinstall the whole game (doubt that will work). Is there any other suggestions to fix this issue?

If you're using local storage for your savegame files, you could try moving your user's \Saved Games\Elex\ folder somewhere else.

Do you run security solutions software, such as anti-malware/anti-virus tools that possibly interfere with ELEX?

There's also the official support page:

THQ Nordic has not brought online again the official community forum after they had shut it down due to spammers and other security issues.

No didn't run anything, literally got the game, played it, then went for a holiday for a week and now came back trying to launch it and it just refuses to load up. I think mine uses cloud saves, because once I deleted (moved) save games as soon as I launched the game, savegames reapeared.
The game has not been updated since March, so no change to the game is the culprit.

Try disabling Steam Cloud for the game just for testing.

Disabled steam cloud, deleted all savegames and even disabled steam overlay, still the game just does not want to move past loading screen.

Try to install the game on your hard disc where your WINDOWS PARTITION is. I had the same problem and after doing this, it worked fine for me. (sry for my bad english^^`)

Finally I have been able to play the game, do not know if it was just random luck, or what I did magically fixed the issue. Today when I launched the game it again failed to load, but then I went to the install directory then to \steamapps\common\ELEX\data\ini and renamed file 'ConfigDefault' to something else like 'ConfigDefaultBACKUP' then launched the game, it crashed with multiple errors (had to use task manager to kill it again) and then once I renamed that file back to its original name the game loading screen only took like 10-15 seconds and finally I was greeted with the main menu screen.

I don't know how you even had that idea, but it's working to me, thankyou!

So I am having the same troubles, except I have not been able to launch the game at all, always just the loading screen (and this game looks awesome). I tried out you said here, but it did not work for me. Anyone have other suggestions?
I just wait. It takes about 15 minutes to actually load but it does load after a bit.
