How is this game after patching?

I've had this on my radar for a while and all of the positive user reviews make it sound like it's right up my alley. On the other hand some of the negative stuff puts me off but most of the issues I see seem like they could be patched. Is this the case? Is the game better after recent updates? Or is it still a little "undercooked" as a lot of the negative reviews seem to indicate?

It was good enough after the day 1 patch.

meh, still the quest bugged as hell.
seems like the dev doesnt even care about quest path.
the solution only kill the quest giver that messed ur game or start new game.
but for me, ppl that really want to do perfect quest, its really annoying.
pls devs, this game has lots of potensial if u fix this, the questline is good like the witcher, but this bug, make all those time your enjoy gone.

I was enjoyable even on release day.

It's definitely better then before. Weather, lighting system, game gamma (devs removed red filter) etc. I made some tests and the game runnes smother no my 1050 (2-4fps higher in average). Night across the world became way brighter and some toxic locations when you entering them make it impossible to see anything at all (pitch black effect) I don't know if it's a bug or it's meant to be this way though..
P.S Well, in overall the game was improved and it's very nice but at the same time you won't be able to see this kind of sunrise on the sea after patch I guess :( That's sad actually...

It's weird, I never noticed sun, not sure for moon. I forgot check carefully so now it's not possible or you just mean some effects removed?

Yes. the developers tweaked something in fog sttings and somehow you cannot see the actual sun even when watching the sunrise from the sea shore. All you see is quite a lot of bright light scattered through the fog. You can try to find out yourself but I pesonally couldn't .

Yeah, pretty much like it :)
Actually I think it's not that bad. Some thing were improved. Regretfully not all of them in the right direction :)

This game needs community patch and modding tool. Just look at gothic 3 - amazing game after community patches, look at Elex - hm http://steamcommunity.com/app/411300/discussions/0/1620599015867085610/

I was wondering the same thing. Lot's of bad review when the game was released.

Did they also fix the combat mechanics? I understood the aiming was off due to bad targetting and animation timing.

Feels better, auto targeting is disabled in my case, but your melee attacks is slightly "aimed" like in The Witcher 3. Overall response is still obnoxious.
UPD: Hm. Can i speed up this game by using Cheat Engine? I'll try this at home.

Hey, how about to show that you can actually go through Jax's air raider like its not even there...
I don't understand why you can't interact with it really.
