1) mornings are now blanketed in fog in Xacor, Tavar and Ignadon.
2) noon is mostly unchanged but it's a bit brighter with stronger bloom effects
3) evening now looks like vanilla noon
4) nights across the world are extremely bright
Overall, I approve of all of these changes except for the fourth. It gives each biome a more distinct feel.
The weather system has been VASTLY improved pretty much across the board.

As you can see above I made the colors more vivid, removed a little bit white filter (tint) and also removed just a few drops of blue tint.

Well, in overall I wanted to stick with original colours as much as possible but to make overall look a little bit more vivid and without awful red tint which was before the patch and now it's nore blue-ish so I can fix that too. What I hate most before the patch was that white tint like bleach! I fixed it as well. I spent not so much time in game after the patch so my preset will be improved furthermore.
I am using SMAA T2x, it looks much better now for me. FXAA sucks.

I reinstalled the game because I had not finished when it came out, I just saw that they remove the option "depth of field", checked or unchecked it has no effect. I immediately uninstall the game because I think it made the game pretty, it hide the graphics problems in the distance and it gave a visual style very nice and pretty.
the developpeurs have not fixed this bug since, it's still serious.
I deprive myself of games just for a graphic option that does not work, it may seem to exaggerate but it is not a problem for me because I have many other games that I like.
ps: sorry for my bad English, i help me with Google translation.
Depending on GPU power, VRAM and such, the graphics engine used in ELEX did not fully "hide the graphics problems in the distance", such as mountains and other large objects coming into view. It may have worked for some players, but it was considered a major issue by others, since it caused blurred graphics in the distance and lead to loud complaints on release in Oct 2017.

For me it wasn't an issue, and I didn't stumble upon blurred graphics in the distance, but I don't know whether the developers were happy, and that's why one of the patches touched it - probably the one from Dec 2017. Shortly after release of a game, developers are much more sensitive with regard to constructive feedback.
Watching the images in the reddit topic above, I can understand why people didn't like it. Maybe I haven't been affected, or I've paid attention to other views instead:

Here are my screenshtos when the game was out (there was "depth of field" activated, we can see that the background is fuzzy, a bit like the focus of a camera. In my opinion, it greatly improve the beauty of the game):

The depth of field option no longer works since December apparently, is still not correct since, it's a shame.
What do you want to hear? Shortly after release of the game, blurred graphics have made haters pop up like mushrooms. Such as:

A year later, send an email to the developers and see if you can still get a response about it. Steam app Help menu all the way to the game specific tech support contact options. Alternatively, try their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram sites where they want to stay in touch with the player community.
I blame the developer for having an option that no longer works and that is not repaired, I believe that if people do not like the fuzzy it provides (this is the purpose of the option) then it's people there could disable it by unchecking the box, and people who like this side "artistic" can activate it.
I do not understand why they have completely disable the option (by the way if it is really wanted by the developers, I do not understand why they leave the option in the menu, because it does not work since December 2017 apparently).
I just show my displeasure because I very loved this option.
I will see if I contact them or not.
Thank you
