source of that?
Also, why does OP need to have a female option? I get it you wanna play a female character but is it really so bad to play a male? Witcher 3 is based on the Witcher books and the author wanted to have a male protagonist as the Witcher. Is it really so inconceivable that the developer of the game (maybe the main story writer) wanted a male protagonist? Why is a book author allowed to have one sex but not the game developer? if the answer is: "because its harder to realize it in the final product" then you should just stop demanding it because it works for both platforms.
Its threads like this that make one mad. Instead of just appreciating that developers follow their vision and provide you a story you demand to play as xyz genders (which will be funny once we actually move past the male/female gender trend and start defining all those other previously unknown genders) or the ability to customize your character. Your whining just shows devs on what they should focus. It would not be so bad if it wouldnt cost anything but you have to keep in mind that if you want to have a custom Maincharacter you have to pull resources away from some other part of the game. Everything costs money and just cause you want a feature does not mean they get more cash to do it, they have to adjust the budget.
Case in point, I loved and still love the Witcher series, for example simply because it feels like I am living vicariously through a wonderfully realised protagonist. I'm hoping to find that same level of 'Dude, I'm your invisible puppeteer/conscience/devil on your shoulder" fun with Elex. From what I have read and seen of the main character and game as a whole so far, I think he will be an interesting individual to get to know.
Also, bright side - being a male protagonist, I won't have any chance of ending up draped in ridiculous non-functional chainmail bikini armour for the sake of better stats, as unfortunately does seem to happen in games. :) Although, hey, if this dude WANTS to wear a metal bikini, I get the feeling there's not a mot of people who will be willing to argue.
Game is rated M for Mature, meaning you have to be an adult to play it. Given that, you probably shouldn't even be on this forum.
Says the guy crying that he can not play a customize character buhu :(
Everyone's opinions are their own. It would be nice if the fanboys didn't act like rabid chihuahuas when people express issues with the game. I reserve judgement on the game's story telling until I can actually see it in a let's play. Then I will decide if it's worth buying.
My point has nothing to do with that. They seek to immerse the player, many players cannot get into a game protagonist that is a different gender. My problem is that if the game is based off a NOVEL then the gameplay should be a story based game, this is a choices based game. Remember the old choose your own adventure books maybe? They were choices based stories and always refered to the main character as you and never he or she. Choices based = immersive. Story based = following a character. Witcher 3 is a bit of an anomoly which is why I said I would wait and see on this one.
