*SPOILERS* Dealing with Karsten

So, I’m currently attempting to join the Clerics and the last task I need to perform involves either making a deal with Karsten, or fighting him... from a role playing standpoint I’d prefer not to make a deal with him, but he’s currently far too strong for me to kill reasonably and none of my companions will help when the fight begins... does anyone know roughly what level you should be to feel comfortable challenging him? My character is currently level 12 and is killed in this fight after one or two hits...

Just get yourself a shield and a good weapon. With proper tactics you should be able to take him down.

Its not about level. Its about ur health pool and ur weapon(its ehancement level). Ofcourse u can still kill him 1 on 1 in melee with any level if u try.

havent tried single alb spell so far :o what does it do? thought it'd just push back enemies..

Crazy damage too, but long cooldown. I usually sell it because it's no fun.

It seems to stun enemies for a short period and deals a ton of damage! At least, a ton of damage relative to how much I can dole out with my current stats at level 12.
