Campainions not moving to Origin Solution
If you are having issues with getting your compaions to switch from the "Small Camp" to "Origin" I'll share with you my solution:

First, it is important to note that even after you have 'submitted' (for lack of a better word) your companions to Origin defence via the Origin defence quest, they will still stay at the Small Camp. This is normal.

Second, you must complete enough quests in Origin that the camp leader Lloyd, invites you to permanently become a member of Origin. At this point he will give you a key to your own place. At this point if you attempt to dismiss your follower, you will see that it says they will be dimissed to Origin, however that is not likely to occure. Before it works as intended you will likely have to do the step below.

Third, teleport to the Small Camp. Have one of your compaions start to follow you. Teleport to Origin. Upon loading in, there should be text that pops up on the screen mentioning how companions will chill here until you ask them to follow you. At this point all the companions should have magically teleported to Origin. It is important to trigger this text as I believe it triggers the move. From then on when asking followers to leave, it should always state that you are asking them to return to Origin, and it should always work as intended.

Hope this helps.

small knitpick but it always states 'return to origin' once you've origin even though companions may be heading to small camp anyway. eventually i progressed chapters and it fixed itself but it was hilarious how whimsical it was where they'd go if you dismissed them or stay and appear after you sleep :)

I never had any problem, did you really offered each companion to defend origin? For me that's the origin defense quest that moves a companion to origin. And the bug is sometimes a companion moves to origin before you submitted him for origin defense.

When I was playing I thought the way it would work is that during the Origin quest where I tell the quest giver 3 companions I think could help defend the camp, that as I gave their name, they would immediately make their way to the camp. However, even after a couple in-game days none of them did. At this point I searched the issue online and assumed it was a bug. Found a couple other people reporting the same thing, including on the Games offical forums. So my main goal of this post is for people like myself that googled it before fully completing the Origin stuff, so that they know what to expect as they continue to play, and they won't rage thinking it's a bug.

Thank you for this solution, it works as you described! I hope PB will fix this trigger in the future patches, though.

Here it is 2022 now, five long years later, with Elex II almost upon us, and they never did lift a finger to fix it. It's a certainty that they won't now. It seems a good guess that they decided to put all their effort into the sequel, and now that game or the next one will continue to get all the attention. Completionists they are not. It's an Outlaw mentality.

The game's software development life cycle has ended in early 2018, so there won't be any more patches.

Apart from that as one can read it is not a problem that affects all players, but it is a corner-case glitch that apparently fixes itself upon completing the Origin quest. What exactly is required to trigger the glitch isn't known either.
