The XP skills in the Charisma tree aren't worth it
I got my INT to 50 at level 10 to get the extra attribute per level skill and decided to test out the extra XP for questing skill.

250 became 263
200 became 210

To put this in perspective, I need thousands of xp to reach level 11, and so far, skillpoints are the most valuable asset I have. That skill isn't worth it, and I doubt the extra xp per kill is either if it's the same small percentage. Even if you played this game a hundred hours, that would only add up to a handful of extra levels at most. You would need at least two levels to make the skill point cost worth it, and that's gonna take you forever with a paltry extra 10 xp per 200.

YMMV, but I reloaded my last save to use those skill points elsewhere. 50 int is still very worth it for the attribute points, but I'm skipping the XP.

tl;dr The extra XP skills are a newb trap.

I mean, if you play for 100 hours you might get some extra levels out of it. But remember, it costs you a level just to take the skils, so if you take all 3 you need to have 4 levels just from the extra XP to "turn a profit" on it. Given how low the extra XP is, you'd have to play forever to get value from it. If it's anything like every other PB game, you'll be a god way before then anyway.

yeah i see your point, and i would like to know where is xp from reading books, like it was in old Gothic 1-2, or does it count for lore thing you found in the world?

Yeah, like in Risen 3 the +10% XP was from an item. But taking up precious skill points... no thanks.

I was wondering that myself. You get no XP from the random books and notes you find, so it must be a thing later in the game.

I've been exploring and not doing anything else, and have found ~30 or so books. I've not got XP for reading any of them :/
