It was - funny and true. Maybe funny because it's true.
True but that doesnt justifies you beeing a real douche in all your posts and flaming other's. Just because you feel unconfident doesnt mean you can harass me or others who have a different perspective. This will not help you! ;)
But I understand that you feel that way cause you cant play the game yet!
I have the same problem. I only talked to riley because he was bullied by Brabak, I fought with this berserk, so that riley does not have to fear him in the future.. that was it. Riley never asked me about a regulator?! While i was doing some other quests the achievement with abessa appeared.. i just ignored it because i also got a 80 h playtime achievement after 1 h playing Elex. Now i got back after 2 h playing. and the whole city is fked up.. and now im really fked up, because Riley says im the reason for this because i let him to the regulator.. do i have to reload the thing? I mean i guess it will happen again.. because there was never an dialog to not allow him to do this ... -.- i am really pissed right now
I guess that can happen if you will side with outlaws/ex. albs in the city more that with clerics/zerkers group as every quest that you finish there will show you smth like "you made important faction decision". So even if you give the regulator to Cleric dude, but smuggle explosives into the city, let other outlaws contact each other, etc - the city will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
Btw. It will be either way. You only chose what factions will get massacred.
- Entered with fake ID card and said it is mine i just hadnt it with me the time before
- I gave the outlaw Cooper his card to leave the city
- I gave paige the weapons because i didnt know that alois also could ask for them
- I installed the sensor for Lutz without the spy device from Darrell
- I gave Nyra (sepratist) the job mechanic (from vivien)
- I said Jorg that he should not lie, so that the ex. albs doesnt have to leave abessa
- I gave Lutz the regulator and not Riley.. I just checked the quest on the internet:
https://guides.gamepressure.com/elex/guide.asp?ID=41928
"The most important factor that may lead to the destruction of the city is allowing Riley, during the side quest Security Measures, to reprogram the energy regulator. He’ll tell you that the regulator malfunctioned and disabled the entire dome. This made the city an easy picking for the Albs."
so that are all quests, I remember so far, that could affect the outcome of abessa. And in the end abessa is destroyed and attacked by the albs. In the camp outside of abessa, paige, darrell and riley are the only alive. They say it was possible due to the weapons and the regulator thing. So I think that my decision didnt lead to that outcome like Spr1ggan said.
So I didnt help Riley.. and still I got this ending.. I'm not sure if I will replay the whole thing or just stop playing Elex.. =(
I betrayed Cooper & Paige, everything else is the same. And in my ending Abessa is OK, but seps and outlaws are massacred for the attempt to overthrow govt :) In general i guess you should avoid assisting outlaws with anything (with exception of bullying Riley) and you should be ok.
Did you followed the instructions from Gustav, the cleric which guards the side entrance? I havent finished the quest, which probably also change the outcome?!
But okay, thanks for your help.. Maybe I will replay it and will do the quest from Gustav first. If this also lead to the destruction, I wont replay until i get the the point where i can do everything against the outlaws.. that must be 4-5 h back -.-..
Is this about the Abessa conflict?
No matter what you do they will kill a lot of people. Either the clerics die or the outlaws and albs. It really doesnt matter in the end its just a personal preference and not that important for the main plot!
Yes it is.
But I had a lot of open quest in the city mainly from clerics and the beggar, and i prefer that the city is not taken over by the albs. And I just dont get it, why the survived outlaws say that i helped them with the regulator, which in fact i didnt do
This thread has gone nuts since I wrote that.. I don't know what to think anymore.
I'm not even sure what forum faction to join.. The Turbos had some good ideas but then The Shepherds make some good points too.. it's all so grey damnit!! And they're all absolutely bonkers of course..
I don't know, I'll think I'll go do some sidethreads for a while.. join a faction later maybe..
I f***ed up big regarding this questline. I helped the clerics because I thought they might find a peacfull solution or just let them be but instead they killed everyone. But in the end it didnt matter cause the main plot is not affected by it as far as I know.
Why did you let the dogs out!? D:
