I will enable only the Comprass so that i can see where i go but nothing else.
The problem with these mini map gps system is that your attention when exploring into the map instead of your actual surrounding, and it is msde even worse with quest markers.
At least with the map screen, you have to open the map, remember the general direction and deduce yourself where to go and you have to close the map screen to walk again.
ELEX map marker is for convenience. , most games markers are for patronising the players
in W3 markes are ENABLE by default,
in ELEX marker are DISABLED by default.
Witcher targeting at casuals gamers, Elex targeting at hardcore gamers.
In all recent open world games these markers can be switched off.
Oh please. Did you watch LP‘s?
ELEX gives you tons of locational directions; you're able to find everything you need based on NPC information and the landmarking in the world alone. That's the difference.
If you want another tough, challenging rpg check out Divinity Original Sin 2, been playing it alot till Elex is out, good challenge!
