Risen 1 has higher score than 2&3, Most people would agree. Gothic 2's score is even higher than Risen 1, also most people would agree. Then the score of Gothic 1 higher than gothic 2, well that's up to debate maybe.
Overall I find Metascore is relatively more objective than any other source, in the case of PB's game at least.
What I'm expecting is a game on par with Risen 1(77).
But true, if it's at least 75, then it's good. Great even. I mean, we have AngryDick panting over our necks already. Him, and his ,,fans''.
There are 2 really big gaming publications in germany, Gamestar and PCGames, both of them are entirely full of crap and publish paid for reviews literally all the time, clearly and fraudulently misleading people.
PB in particular and Gamestar have a long lasting relationship of paid for reviews. For all their games btw, Gothic 3 got a rating of 84%. Risen 2 got 85% :-))
Gamestar is the biggest german gaming publication too so developers have a lot of incentive to ask them for this fraudulent behaviour. And they obviously and for many years have complied more than happily. Or the other way around, who really knows what goes on behind closed doors when they plan to BS gullible gamers.
actually lower than that (Gamespot gave it 4/10 too) and while IGN is pretty much the worst of all time and always to be ignored, it does seem justified at least.
PB should spend more money on polishing their games and hiring some new designers instead of spending the obviously limited money on buying reviews.
