Spoiler - Elex for the Claws - Bug?

Hey there,

currently I'm playing the mission Elex for the Claws, however Im encountering following problem:

Before I started that quest I already looted the ♥♥♥♥ out from Logans safe. So, now the safe is empty and the mission isn't even in my questlog, I just got the document with the instructions.

Anyone else encountered that problem? Any solutions for that? That quests locks down my progress for the claws, which pretty sucks huge balls.

indeed sucks. i'd vaguely similar issues with how elex was handled in berserkers mana shrine quest. almost all quest items're special they stay in inventory and probably appear in condition code explicitly so things trigger accordingly no matter how you acquired item. but quest elex's tracked as commodity so even if there's elex on you game doesnt let you tap it for quest purposes :/ instead progression's probably triggered on theft event which ofc you cant reproduce.... or maybe ... can one put some elex back to safe and retrieve it again? i guess not because safes're handled differently from usual containers :/

Hi,

a couple of days ago I encountered the same situation. It was easily solvable for me:

Simply go to a trash can, interact with it and you should be able to place the required loot from Logan's safe in there, if you have enough Pure Elex (because it was the Pure Elex that was wanted from Logan's safe).

I am not sure how much Pure Elex exactly was in that safe. I can imagine that the option to dump it in one of the trash cans will only appear if you have at least as much of Pure Elex as there was in Logan's safe. It wasn't that much, if I remember correctly having about 10-20 Pure Elex in your inventory should suffice to be able to dump it in a trash can in order to complete this quest.

If you don't have enough Pure Elex, you can easily obtain it from many vendors with an infinite restocking supply of Pure Elex, then dump it in a trash can.

oh yeah that'd probably work. if so one can then ignore safe completely and just pay elex to complete quest :D

That might work, but I wouldn't be too sure about that. It might also be possible that the ability to dump the Elex in a trash can only triggers once you've looted Logan's safe.

I'd have to find a save where I didn't loot Logan's safe in order to test this though, and since "Loot everything" is the first order of the day whenever I reach a new city in PB's games, it's highly likely that this save would be hours of play before I come even close to beginning the Claws quests.

it's easier for op to test it for sure. i did claws questline recently and iirc quests progress like where to go -> now i got item so where to drop. maybe solution's to open empty safe while you've enough elex on you and that advances it to drop phase.

Wow, thanks for those fast responses. Yeah, you were right! I just was able to put the pure elex into the dead trash can.

Thanks for that great input! However, for anybody else or you: It were 10 pure elex. So pretty easy to obtain, as you guys mentioned it.
