ELEX
Which faction / tactic is the best for combat?
Combat is by far the most frustrating and unfun element of this game. Which faction or combat tactic makes you the strongest? If I spent my first 6 levels on strength, constituion and melee abilities, should I restart the game?

all depends on the level of the chosen complexity

I don't understand. What do you mean?
if you play on ultra complexity, without long-range weapons, as for me it is very difficult

You mean "difficulty"? Are long range weapons good or bad? I play on normal difficulty and so far everything kills me. I am level 9 and as weak as I was in the beginning. I fight using melee weapons.
I play a cleric hybrid and use magic melee and blaster rifles
I'm already level 15 and my stats are at the level of 42-50 and still you can die with 1 or 2 strokes
I beg to differ about the combat. Ranged running and gunning can be really op. You're still a really low level and you should focus on the quest, and not trying to kill every monster you see. At around lvl 12-15 you'll feel a big difference in power if you stick with melee style, especially if you play on normal. Learn to evade, and dodge properly, those I frames are a life saver. All melee weapons have different animations, and different special attacks.
Okay, I'll restart the game and try going for the clerics from the beginning. Too bad for 14 wasted hours but I want to give the game another chance.
even abilities like armor or health in survival, I think it does not do any good
and I can not understand why my teammates, I started the game 3 different weapons, for example, the falcon had an ordinary sword, then a mace, then an enchanted mace

Dude thank you but I was asking for combat tips. I have no idea what you're saying.
You'll need and have the points to raise all abilities eventually... that said there's better starts. But I don't know if it's worth a restart honestly.

Strongest is ranged with AoE weapons, the single strongest is the flamethrower type A, but it does cost you your mobility to have it out(heavy weapons stop you from jetpacking or dodge rolling, and slows your movement). Plasma rifles are very good, so are grenade launchers(the only heavy weapon without the movement penalties), expensive ammo though.

Note that you still need to raise your stats and upgrade the ranged weapons before they get all that good. Melee can get good early, just get something with an alternate damage type, like energy, fire, poison, etc, it'll be night and day for you.

you must swing to the ability of the faction

I have found a fire sword, guess I should raise stats to use it. Thanks.
How to chumpify the combat in this game. (might be better if you start over)

1. don't get into combat unless you really have too (even then it might better to just run and grab whatever you need). Many quests in Goliet can be accomplished with little to no combat. Use these xps and the quest rewards (plus whatever you find/steal) to get you going.

2. focus on dex and int.

3. Pick up alchemy, trophies (continue leveling this, the stats needed coincide with our goals and will help on money), and modify weapons (this can wait).

4.buy Elex potion recipe and all the elex you can from Alrik. Use said potions on int and dex.

Now the tricky part. Make sure you have about 1200 shards or so.

5.Get your butt to Domed city. Run past ALL combat.

6.(optional) Meet Companion Arx on the way (he's on the road in a shack). He joins with no quests or requirements.

7. Outside of Domed city is a traveling cleric merchant. If he's not there go sleep on a bed or something, he should show up. Buy the plasma rifle and as much plasma ammo as you can.

8. (do when you can) If you focused on dex and int at this point, you should be able to upgrade your rifle to 1 (or maybe even 2). At rank 2, only the most dangerous enemies are unbeatable.

9. Blast everything, plasma rifle has an AoE knockdown attack that can make the game almost too easy. Trophies should get you enough money to spend on ammo + still get what you need (elex, etc...).

10. as an extra easy to accomplish step, just south of the domed city teleporter is a castle tower looking thing. Ignore the Moloch outside of it and jetpack into it. There's an amulet that will increase your dex making reaching the stat requirements for your trustly plasma rifle easier. It even gives a point in pickpocketing which can help you gain more money for elex, gear, and skills. Getting a similar ring is a bit tougher as it requires going to the valley of the damned.
