Is there a way to know the time of day in the game?
I might be missing something obvious, but I don't seem to know what time it is in the game. I can't see anything obvious in the Inventory/Map part of the HUD.

The lighting-effects and the daily work of NPC give some indication, but there's no proper clock in the game.

I find it a bit lacking - considering our character has his electronic device on him with auto-mapping, etc, etc.

just notice the lighting, how the sky looks, how the whole enviroment looks :) ...

What's the point of turning off the minimap?

When activating a bed, etc the following options come up:
Sleep until morning, midday, next evening and midnight.

Without time, how is this even possible for our character to do?

The point being that ELEX has spaceships, computers, robots, etc, etc and they cannot tell the time?

Or simply open quest diary which contains time of a day as well as passed days from start.

Thank you, it's like these people haven't even played their older games.

The only way I know is to sleep and wake up at a certain time. It's a little wonky no doubt.

Look at the sun? You know the sun rises in the east, is at the highest point on midday and then goes down in the west.

By looking at th sun you always know what time it is.

Besides that at least I always know how late it is even without a clock. In my bedroom there is no clock and even if I wake up at night I can immediately tell how late it is. The error margin is only about 30 minutes.

So, you also have to get up to go pee, he? Yeah, it's a bummer, but that's old age for you.

What if it is cloudy though - or night time?

Nah I always have an empty bottle of beer besides my bed. You know the one you drink before falling asleep. That way I don't have to get up at all because I can use the empty bottle.

And btw that's way better than the hemorrhoids and crabs plagueing you.

If it's cloudy or night time just use your inner clock or ask someone
