Can't Learn skills upper level

I have the game on Origin, but cause there's no discussions there so i'll post here.
The issue is simple, after learning first level of a skill (for example melee combat 1) even after getting all requirements for level 2 (1000 Elex, 50 STR etc) and for all other skills like ranged combat or lockpicking etc, I simple can't learn next level, there's no action button so you can't do nothing with it.
I have played all 3 Risen games and i know there was different becouse only after joining a faction you could learn upper level skills but on Elex doesn't look like this. Anyone who's at a good point on the game know more about this?

I mean, all requirements are green, like the 1st time u can learn the skill, but for every skill i learned there's no way to learn upper level >_>

You probably have an amulet or a ring equipped which boost your stats. That boost does not count when determining prerequisites for skill increase.

You can only learn new skills/upgraded skills if your BASE stats w/o item boosts meet the requirements.

There are a lot of quirks to ELEX' systems that are uncommon for more generic AAA game systems. I think that somebody should make a FAQ detailing all its eccentricities and unique methods of doing things.

I had no trouble learning tier 2 skills before joining a faction. But the posters above might well be right. I don't use stat items unless I must, so I would not have encountered this problem.

Double check if you run into it.
I can almost guarantee your ring or your amulet gives you stats...

My ring give HP and stamina, not STR, I have added all strenght and Dex manually, still can't level up melee weap 2

Do you perhaps lack the 1000 Elexit or the LP? Or is it an amulet and not a ring that causes the problem?

If all the numbers are green you have to have a stat item on. The game cannot give you a skill based on stat increasing items because it would have to take it away if you ever unequip that item. It allows you to equip weapons and armor though because it just disables them when you lose the stats.

All requirements are on green, STR, DEX, Elexit, skill point, but it simple doesn't show the action button for interact, and thats also with all other leveled skills, (stamina, hp, pickpocket etc) Obiviously i can't get stamina or HP level 2 cause requirements are way too high,i I can't get why i can't learn skills if i have all requirements, I've also tried all teachers i found obiviously but its the same thing

That is really really strange, first time I have heard of such an issue actually existing. Your amulet doesn't give you stats either?

I'm at a loss OP sorry :(

Because teachers are just categorized and every survival/crafting/combat/charisma-trainer has the same interface for skills.

I seriously can't tell what's the problem if you really have served all the requirements and equipped amulet or ring is not the cause. To me it always worked fine.

No idea what the problem is for you, but I had a similar problem for melee weapons level 2 that turned out to be due to a necklace I was wearing that gave + 5 strength - without the amulet I wouldn't have the necessary strength (allowing me to technically cheat if I could learn the skills, if I had the required drugs/potions/equipment to boost my stats for a short time), so the game wasn't letting me learn it.

I felt pretty stupid when I realized that. >_<
