Some cheats to help you out!

[Soxxox Smox]

Profile hacking is fun and awesome. Here is a guide to gem hacking, which I found online, and some other cheats that I discovered while messing around with the options.
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hammerfight\Saves and open these files in the text editor of your choice (Notepad++ is perfect)
player_01.seria
profile_01.seria

Best cheats

ALL the weapons, ALL the money, ALL the vials!

Changing m_weapon_lock to 18446744073709551615 will unlock every weapon in the game.
Changing m_coins= to a series of Ls will grant a crap-ton of cash
Locate keyword "Rushid's Vial" in the seria file and then copying and pasting the code will grant free vials.

Gem hacking (Source: Wikicheats)

In Hammerfight, place a singing stone in a weapon and drop it in your armory.
In profile_01, use Find to locate "m_stones." You should see a ton of 0's
These zeros represent gem slots in your weapons. Find one that has an actual number in it. This is the weapon you added a gem to. Replace that number with the item code of the gem of your choice.

Gem Item Codes
Small/Medium/Large = Name (Effect)
24/29/34 = Ruby (Healing)
25/30/35 = Topez (Fire)
26/31/36 = Emerald (Ghost when manually activated)
27/32/37 = Sapphire (Ice)
28/33/38 = Amethyst (Lightning)
Adding a gem to a slot too small to accomodate it can cause glitches.

Overcharged gems!
In Hammerfight, place singing stones of your choice in your weapon. Make sure that this weapon is equipped on your character when you exit.
In player_01, use Find to locate the name of the gem you wish to edit. If you don't know what the name is, search for "m_classname=Improvement"
When you see the name of the gem, find the m_value for that gem. Change it to something awesome!
Test out your overcharged gem ingame! Sometimes it will cause glitches if you set it too high, so play around with the options until you get it to work. You can make some super awesome combinations with this. (One glitch, which I have yet to discover the source of, will cause you to take damage over time until you die. I believe it is from setting either fire gems or lightning gems to be too high, or possibly a combination of both)

Totally EPIC weapons!
This is a cheat I discovered which allows you to make your weapons deal absurd damage. I have only tested it on swords but it should work for all weapons.
In Hammerfight, grab your weapon and make sure it is equipped as you exit the program.
In player_01, use Find to locate the name of your weapon. If you don't know the name or item code, don't worry, it's usually at the very bottom of the file.
m_sharpness is a value between 0 and 1. Change it to something... more ambitious. (I set mine to 20. Setting it too high would probably cause a crash)
Save and test out your weapon! I hacked strife and a medium speed hit will consistantly deal around 400 to 1000 slashing damage.

Note that Overcharging gems and Sharpening weapons are temporary effects. If you drop the weapon and pick it back up, its stats will be reset to the default.

Coming from half a year later, I'd like to mention that there's a lot of other stuff you can do, too. At the bottom of every save file is an "m_scripts" zone - basically, it prevents you from doing any insane cheats like changing your available weapons. Deleting them is very risky, but since the default profile has an essentially empty m_scrips area go into it and change the m_weapon_lock to 18446744073709551615. I don't quite remember how I got that number, but it represents every weapon in the game. Also, changing "m_coins=" to have a lot of L's after the = gives you loads of free hammer coins!
This is a bit more technical, but if you go into your player_XX.seria file, you'll see what codes for your inventory. If you want 50 free Rushids Vials, search for Rushid's Vial and take the entire block relating to it (blocks end with m_classname=Replayer fields) and copy and paste it over and over between your current vial and any other item. Every vial pasted this way is added to your inventory!

Thanks for listing that. I got a question though...does anyone know how to hack your weapons to become Armor, so you can have way more then 2? Also, I heard its possible to use enemy only weapons via hacks, like the Buzz Saw hand on some of the creatures in Chapter 4. Any codes for those?

Same I can't get the cheats to work. I have tried the coins cheat and the weapon unlock cheat and both didn't work. Was this patched for something?

Just open the sierra files doesn't work for ♥♥♥♥ srsly.....all weapons GONE all coins GONE u should describe it a bit more acurately the Values for coins und weapons got a reset for me and theres no way to change them....do we have to delete something first i tried to delete the script sections in both the profile and default profile if there both deleted the game simply won't start if just 1 no effect...

I can't really say. I never did coin or weapon editing, only gems hacking, weapon sharpness, and gem charging. You'll have to take that to thegamemaster1234.

On another note, that's why we always create backups before we edit something. Give Git a shot, maybe? Git version control lets you save changes and undo them later, so if you screw up you can load a previous version. It won't work retroactively, but you can keep that from happening in the future.
