I just tried it and took 8 mins 30 secs, so didn't get all 3 oil drops, but got through it. Are you trying to get the 3rd drop?

If you tell me what that Level is about i tell you how to solve it (on Hard aswell) I think i am going to upload a walkthrough to YouTube if more People struggle with Levels (if im allowed to @devs)

I played through the campaign till there now once again (on laptop, there i havent played yet) if you just want to finish it spam mortars. That gets you 2/3 drops. You can collect the laser building drop in a second run as i would suggest since that is really close. To help you out with the limited amount of time when rushing to the laser, once you started building the factory, unbuild the workshop. that gives you most of its resources back and you wont need if if you dont go for mortars.

I just completed the campaign while completing all drops in one go for every mission (on hard). It is possible to build a lazer and win in the time limit. My stratergy was to tech up asap and max resources.
Roughly:
-Build a mine then expand your base up a bit and build a turbine
-Continue to expand your base and build 1-2 more turbines and another mine
-Construct the resource stockpile buildings needed to make a factory
-Then save up and build a factory (factory needs to begin around the 5min mark at latest)
-Construct a the last resource stockpile building needed for a lazer and additional generators as you wait for the build to finish (basically you are just saving for the lazer now)
-Build lazer (needs to occur around 2:30min remaining at latest as it takes 2 min to build)
-After that hold out until the lazer can fire and hope you win in 1-2 shots

Note: As this occurs you will need to make sure your base is constantly repaired as damage comes in. I like to create an angled metal wall with sandbags behind them (aside from one door where the lazer would go). Generally i didnt worry about making a defensive wall untill the AI did its first attack. Try not to build anything unecessary e.g. super high base (you dont need 100% turbines). Just make sure you have enough resources, a buffer wall so your core isnt hurt and a place for the lazer to get a clear shot.

Ya spamming with mortars worked fine, did build the laser nevertheless to get all drops

@Bandiloso the fastest I could get was starting to build the laser at the 5 minute mark. Constant fire on the reactor after finish didnt work in time for me, AI kept repairing too well. But it is very well possible to build mortars and a laser in time if you scrap your mines at the point you know you wont need any more production.

Yep, mortars it is.

I actually managed it to build three lasers before the time was up. Still with three lasers firing at the same time I could not kill the enemy reactor. The lasers just don't go through and the enemy repairs very fast.
However with five mortars (upgraded) you can just spam him down easily.
So the game telling you to build a laser is actually the trap... if you go for lasers you lose.

You can win with a single laser shot on that level, if it's in the right spot. A big part of Forts is learning how to identify the vulnerable spots on a base. Including your own.

Also,while it may be satisfying to fire 3 lasers at once, it's usually far less effective than firing them one at a time and aiming them at the same spot. That's true of most weapons. Fired together they spread out, fired singly you can focus them.
