Noob Question

Just playing through the Moon campaign, and can't for the life of me figure out how to get a portal to return fire back to the enemy. Obviously I've missed a basic mechanic here, but any help would be appreciated.

Return to senders: put 2 portals next to each other, use the right click menu (<->) to switch the portal direction. so both portals should have the same color facing the enemy

Portals also have to be linked to each other. Once they're completed you click and drag between them to connect. The colors are linked, orange to orange, blue to blue. And if you're setting up portals on a big map, be aware that while linkage will stay consistent (linkage meaning which sides of the portals feed each other) the colors can vary. That can be a little confusing if you can only see one portal at a time.
