Stuttering
Just downloaded the game after seeing some play on youtube; having an issue of the game freezing/stuttering every few seconds though... Can confirm through GeForce Experience that I have the latest drivers... Any tips on resolving this issue? Otherwise, game seems unplayable currently.

Is this in single player or multiplayer? Which maps and do you have any mods activated? What are the specs of your CPU, video, memory and storage?

The stuttering begins on game load, before I choose Campaign or Multiplayer (at the main menu). I have a Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1060 6GB, and 16GB RAM @ 3200Mhz.

No mods are installed.

Do you have a FreeSync monitor? If so, try to disable the feature on the monitor.

My "monitor" is actually a TV; It's pretty old (at least 7 years) so if "FreeSync" is a newer feature, probably not. I don't know, in any case. How might I go about finding out?

The TV won't support FreeSync, no. It's a variable refresh rate standard we are having trouble with.

Does the stuttering continue for more than a few minutes if you leave it running in the main menu? The game loads textures in the background, which can cause some minor stuttering. When it's done it will show a message in the console (press F3 to see it). And if you load and play a game, does it occur there too? If so, can you press F8 and tell me what the frame rate in the top left is?

Have seen "Closing background load thread at 49.1s", if this is what you are referring to regarding texture loading. Even after this is logged, stuttering continues. Going into campaign, frames are around 60 average, but during the "stutter", fps changes. Couldn't tell you what it changes to, though it seems to jump /up/, actually. I know that doesn't make much sense from a logic perspective though, so it could be falling to around 10 or so, then going up to around 60-90, then leveling back out to 60, before stuttering, dropping to 10... repeat. So it is occurring during gameplay as well.

It's a tough one. With your specs the game should be as smooth as silk. Although, I happen to have a Ryzen 5 2600 and know that it only supports 2933MHz memory speeds. Have you overclocked the memory, or is that just the spec of the dimms and the motherboard has it clocked lower?

To eliminate the possibility of a faulty driver installation, I would recommend uninstalling it using Device Driver Uninstaller[www.guru3d.com], then reinstall the latest driver again. Drivers are the most common cause of such problems, even if they appear to be up to date.

If it continues after that I'll have to make some test builds that narrow down the cause.

So I finally bit the bullet and cleaned up the drivers; that did the trick. Was putting it off because reconfiguring everything is kinda a hassle, but so far so good it seems.

Great to hear. Enjoy!

Issue has returned. It's possible GeForce Experience could be auto updating my drivers, but I find it unlikely they are being faultily installed every single time... And if they aren't, I wouldn't really consider scrubbing my drivers every time they release an update to be an adequate solution. :/

EDIT AGAIN: Restarted PC => fixed issue this time. Prior occurrence, that did not solve the problem, so again I'm not sure what the issue is, or if it's even worth looking into. Perhaps this is some incompatibility with other software I have running for some type of screen capture, but I wouldn't even know what it is that would be causing it, or why, since this is the only game I have played recently that has these issues; if it matters or comes up again, I can continue to update this thread if you'd like as I monitor things.

Can you toggle the vsync setting in the Options -> Video tab and see if anything changes?

Also would be interesting to see if the TV has any bearing on the issue by trying it with a regular monitor. I wouldn't expect so but it is the only unusual aspect of your setup I'm aware of.

I will test those things tomorrow; on a side note, is there a way to report people in game?

We don't have systems in place to do much about problem players at the moment, but it's something we are looking into.

Have done some more testing; stuttering still continues. Not sure what causes this, but something else I've noticed is that if I leave my computer on (say over night) and it goes into sleep mode, the previous startup, game works fine. After I wake it up, game continues stuttering, restart needed to fix.
