I was playing this evening and haven't got that much of a problem. But you're right, there are sadly not that many players (with the exception of some spikes) online.

You can start a new lobby yourself and wait for people to join. There are probably others waiting to join a free game.

I'm also not sure if open lobbies are always visible. Even though the games are public, we can't always see each others games and have to send an invite to let them join.

I cant even join multiplayer... it says connecting then it will go back to the lobby list

try hitting the 'refresh' button a few times ;) the invalid lobby will go away after a few seconds.

devs should consider doing free weekends & sales once in a while, could really breathe some life into the really fun multiplayer.

We do participate in sales, and the player numbers do rise during and after. Ranked match making is coming too, which should keep some playing for longer.

I have no problem getting multiplayer games
