Game Doesn't Run

It opens up for a bit but then closes immediately.

I've tried using the compability mode, but it still doesn't work.

I'm on Windows 10 and my GPU is Nvidia GTX 850M.

Is there any other fix?

They should support your devices K A T K A T. It may require a patch, but launch days tend to go that way. Make sure your drivers are up to date and hope for a fix quickly.

Nox's mobile gfx card may not be supported even if it is "better" than a 450 because it is mobile. It may, but generally mobile gfx cards are low priority because they are so much less common by volume than similar desktop devices. I had a mobile gfx card and it wouldn't support higher than 1440x900 display resolution no matter how many attempts I had to fix it. They just aren't the same as standard gfx hardware.

I can play other games just fine. It even supports 1080p. It's pretty clear this is the game's problem.

Open the game folder and change the properties of the application to Run As Administrator.

Can't find the folder/application?

Steam > Steamapps > Common > Dragon Quest Heroes.

Try setting fullscreen to off so it runs in a window, that seems to work for a lot of people.

I played this on windows 10 without compatibility mode, the graphics is amazing, the game really looks great.

This is why PG Gaming is fun, you have to work with your butt to make the game run. Just kidding,

It has to be something to do with the way you upgraded to windows 10 i guess, especially with the drivers that you only rely on what your OS has installed instead of the proper drivers coming from the manufacturer. The drivers that is involve here is not just Graphics card, but tons of drivers for different hardware you have in your computer.

I can run the game with windows 10 in fullscreen (with win 7 compatibility mode in the options) but I don't get 60 fps @ 1080p with a 760 gtx :/

Figured I'd post here instead of flooding the message boards with the same topic. I'm encountering the same problem. Runs fine on Windowed mode but crashes on startup when I attempt to run it on fullscreen. Tried running it with Windows 7 compatibility mode to no avail. One observation I've made though, is that the configuration tool defaults Windows 7 Compatibility Mode to Off each time I tried running the game. Anyone managed to get around this problem?

Here are my specs if it helps any.

Windows 8.1
i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
8gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M

Weird, I don't have that problem. After I set it to On, it stays there.

But I did try to mess around with the exe file directly, and after I did that, the config program did reset the compatibility setting.

Same for me not work ,and tested alot things mebtion here ,if go folder and start as admin it even give up a missing VCOMP110.DLL file lol

Work great with Ark Servival Evolved (and that game have more bigger requirments)
