Luceus or Aurora?

I understand that you can't swap out the main character so it's an important choice (Please correct me if I'm wrong). Who are you going to pick as your protagonist and why?

I think the main difference is the Luceus has fire attacks which do damage over time and Aurora has ice which freezes mobs. Can anyone else shed light on their strengths & weaknesses?

They also have different character-specific skills, but that's something every character has. I also think that whoever you choose slightly affects the story, but only very little and nothing major.

The choice is not important in the slightest.
You get both of them in your party regardless, but only 1 is considered the "main character".
They are both identical gameplay-wise, except Aurora has ice-based abilities and Luceus has fire-based abilities.

That's good, I'll probably go with Aurora.

I was just worried that it would cripple the end game if I accidentally chose a weaker character.

I was under the impression that they were exactly the same except that one says "inferno slash" and the other says "blizzard slash" and the respective particle effects or something like that.

I'm still undecided, but I have about 12 hours to decide!

I play as Aurora on PS4, purely out of preference for the female character. As others have said, it's not a make-or-break decision. Both characters have almost identical attacks and you can swap back and forth between then any time.

She actually shouts "GIGA SLASH" when she does her special attack.

lol totally agree. I like Aurora's freezing effect better too.
