the game was released for mac along side windows back in the day, "mac had better soundtrack", think this new enhanced edition is from the windows verison of the game so there is a chance it may come out for mac but for right now it's only gonna be for windows.

You can get the gog version and use porting kit to play it on a mac. Works 100%

Any chance we can revisit this discussion? Since the new "source port" update mentions Mac assets, how about getting an actual Mac port to enjoy them too? :D

Aye, it mentions the ability to switch between DOS and Mac assets...Anyone know how to do that? Does it choose the higher-res assets by default?

@Dark Blue Monkey, Mac assets are used by default. If you want the DOS faces, it's in the main menu under Modifications -> Mods.

No official word on a Mac release that I've heard yet.

The first video (leftmost) on the Steam Store Page definitely looks like an upgrade from the usual DOS assets. In fact, you can really compare well the first video scenes with similar scenes in the second half of the THIRD video.

I have not played the new Source version, but if it looks like the first video (leftmost one in the scroll of videos at top of Store Page) it looks like the resolution at least doubled in pixel density and has more colors to the palette. The in-game movies seem better as well.
