How do I use Dynamite?

I cannot select it, place it on anything. I cannot work out the controls or options for it. I am stuck where I have to rescue that guy from the cell and cannot progress at all. Does not seem to be a key and there is no way to use the dynamite. Is this as far as the game goes right now maybe?

Hmm, does not seem to do anything. I just instantly die.

Also I went through the Tutorial, there was no mention of Dynamite anywhere that I noticed.

Worked it out. It explodes as soon as it hits something. It seems to hit the floor or clips the edges of doors and chairs at times. So you need to throw it in a clear area.

Actually it is fairly instant very short delay.

Point where u want it to go (as if u were going to shoot in that direction) then hold F. It should land where your aim cursor is positioned. I only had a rare one where I quickly pressed F and it landed at my feet.
