If that is so, you shouldn't be seeing the error you are seeing. If you do, please post your SamHD.log file here so I can see the details. Thanks.
below my SamHD.log:
[my main Steam-Install-Dir is on C (a 128GB SSD) and Sam is installed to drive F where i have more free space]
Signature verification of exe failed[www.hostingpics.net]
The exe is good in windows :
Certificate is valid[www.hostingpics.net]
If you have some antivirus/firewall/antimalware (other than the default Windows one), I recommend you try first uninstalling it completely, just for a test. You probably just need to disable one option, but it is hard to know which, and it is easier to first test by complete uninstallation. Note that if there's a global "disable" switch in it, it often doesn't actually prevent problems like this. It just stops reporting errors to you, but can still cause harm to applications.
I tried the following
I will file a ticket to find a good solution.
Thanks for your help.
- uninstalled F-Secure + rebooted >> works fine now
- reinstalled F-Secure >> fails again
- excluded SamHD.exe from scanning >> works fine
I will also file a Ticket at F-Secure for this. Thanks man
