Multiplayer issues

Hey guys. A buddy of mine and I are trying to set things up so we can play co-op together. However, whenever we do, we run into two issues:

1. It forces us into Remote Play, which somehow allows us to control each other's characters. Pretty sure that shouldn't be happening.

2. We can't seem to setup a proper server to see each other in, unless Remote Play winds up being a factor. Any chance I can get a step-by-step walkthrough to make this work?

As for the remote play thing, you probably have the same controls set. I don't think that stuff supports two mice either.
