Why they suddenly removed the music / sound from our game?

In the past the music worked fine. Last time I played it there was an automatically ''update'' and since then the sound did not work any more in the game. How they steal the sound of a game what I allready bought and payed for since a long time? They can not sell something and years later steal the sound what belongs to me. This is one reason why I really hate that games are bound to accounts and let them always manipulate and steal our games as they see fit even years after we paid and bought the game. Why like this? Suddenly no sound and no music any more in the scenes? Why they are forcing this downgrade on my game without my consense and without even notifying us?

License run out, they could no longer have some of the music in the game. There is way to restore them if you download original music files somewhere or have physical copy of the game.

Thank you. I have the original CDs in the good old Box. This old version does not run any more on Windows 8. Maybe the old music files are compatible though. Still I think those greedy bastards just don't have no fu cking right to steal something back without my permission, what the they sold allready to me many years before. This is one reason why I hate the accountbinding of steam and any DRM. So they can take back or manipulate any game they sold to us in past, even many years in the past just as they see fit. I don't fu cking care about this spiteful a ss h oles who after many years decides to not want us to enjoy this wonderful music anymore. But he has no right after such a long to steal something back, what we already payd for and used all the time. I also cannot sell to my neighbour let's say a table, he pays his honest money for it... and after 10 years I break into my neighbours home and steal this table back: Oh sorry There was something wrong with the license bla bla. Those arrogant bastards just don't have any fu cking right to tread us honest customers like this. I fu cking payed this game and love this music and use it already many years. He must think BEFORE the deal about his license etc. Same when they sell a CD, they also cannot just 19 years later break into my home and steal this CD back from my shelf. But they think they have any fu cking right to break into my computer and steal my data / music allready there by remote control. You guys who did this crime are fu cking thiefs. Suck my fu cking d ick and be happy that you are not here to receive a punch in your fu cking face for remote manipulating my computer and stealing my data. Fu ck them. A ss holes.

And by the way: Is it true that they also have cut out this wonderful Outro cinamatic, this last cutscene at the end of the game with this touching deep minded review and lesson about his life? This would be like steeling the soul of this game.

THIS is what I mean. Found this comment on GOG and am curious if in the Steam version they now also mutiliated this game behind our back and stole thise beautiful lyrics from the credids? This Lyrics were the most important from all the game for me, it feels they have cut out the soul from this game, because it's all about what you learn from this game, the whole lesson for our life is found and cumulated in the credids lyrics in the end. How thos bastards even dare to delete this from our data files???

I don't know about that, last year when i play mafia classic (just before DE come out) i try steam version and restore it music files but i did not get it to work so i play disc version. Works great on windows 10 with no problems.

Also it use to be normal game while it was removed from steam, but ever since it come back to sell they somehow release update that remove thous music files from thous who have it before they started to resell it.

Just for fun i try it again and this time i manage to get the music work by re-installing steams 2002 version dlc. This probably is only for thous as option who own the game before it was removed or have it as gifted after it was removed and before returned.

Thank you for your time and explanation. Yes it's a different thing, if they sell it NOW without music. But we, who OWN the game allready since 19 years, including the music and bought it completely, when the music still was ok, to us they should not steel the music back or manipulate it in any way. Well let's see if it works with the 2002 version. Hm, and I wonder why my old original Disk of Mafia does not even start on Windows 8. If anybody has an idea, I'd really appreaciate it.
