Minimap problems?
Since the start of the game i noticed the minimap at the top-left is blank except for the little npc squares (green for cars, blue for police, etc). Is this how it's supposed to be or am i missing something?

Well that's an interesting design choice. The map button's there for a reason, i guess.

We need to ask someone from mafia modding scene to make ASI mod that will fix that and will bind big map texture to mini map area and rotate it accordingly. It was really quite bad design decision.

you're supposed to navigate yourself using the big map i think. it's not that hard. but yeah, not the greatest design decision.

problem is that it cover your vision when you drive, i would better look at it at pause screen, otherwise mini map is the best way to keep map in real time without covering screen. At the moment this mini map works like mini radar and does not make much sense, except for showing enemies and traffic. But its quite useless anyway.

Believe it or not having a minimap that displayed the city map wasn't that common at the time, it didn't become a universal design decision til after Grand Theft Auto 4. Even the original Assassin's Creed had a more static minimap that didn't display the map and just displayed blips where your objectives were.

It's supposed to be a radar, not a minimap. The city's not so big so soon you'll know it well enough to go around just by your memory....
