Stronghold Legends performance problem
So as stated in the title the Stronghold Legends performance sucks on my PC. And personally, I really don't know why because I am trying to run it on an GTX 1080 paired with an i7 8700k. Does anybody know a workaround or even why the performance is mainly around 10 to 30 FPS? Already tried tinkering with the game speed but frames under 20 FPS show that this isn't the problem.

I have quite a bit of stuttering on my 8700K and 1080Ti too, seems to mainly occur when the narrator voice is talking over - which is often! My son runs this on his Phenom II with HD7850 and it runs far better lol. If I find a solution will post here.

Well, I played again today and seem to run ok right now, not sure why. Have you tried disabling Steam overlay and GeForce Experience overlay?
lol

I've been informed on Discord that GeForce has caused performance issues with this game in a recent driver update.

When I downgraded the GeForce driver to the specified old version(v457.51), my game performance improved significantly. It's definitely a remedy worth trying.

Yes if you are getting lag and mouse problems use the graphic driver from November.
If you have a NVIDIA Card. I'm using the 457.30 from 11-9-2020 and now i have NP with it.
Just reinstall the newer 1 when you're done playing........:praisesun:

I tried the GeForce driver v466.11 released around 2021/4/29 and it didn't cause any problems. It seems likely that it has already been fixed.

I haven't had any problems since then.👍

No, you don't have to try that older version. Probably not a problem with the current latest.

Confirming fix: rolling back nVidia graphics drivers to 457.51 - 100% fixed my horrible stuttering performance and CTD issues.

nVidia's own webpage driver search won't show drivers that old, but a google search will link to the nvidia factory download page.
