Stronghold Legends Hidden Avatar and Avatar Creation

So I was looking through the local files of the game and stumbled upon in the "interface" folder a whole slew of different avatar sets. Whenever you are in game, however, only the avatars from "avatars.png" show up. My question is how do you get the others to appear and choose from them in-game? Also, I found some other great avatars I would like to use from various images of other games. How do I get them to show up?

Just rename the avatar pack you like to "avatars" then you can select them in the game.

If you like to add your own avatars, you need to replace the existing ones, the format for one picture is 128x128.
And be sure your avatar has an transparent background, so it will look better in the game.
