Understandable, got to remember that it is a better old game too. thanks anyways.
I only did the second step (boosted it from 512 to 2048 and set the other to 10000 from 30000). The .ini file it references is in the BioshockHD -> Bioshock 2 folder in %appdata% now. So far I haven't had any crashes, but it might not work for everyone. At least the original is more stable out of the box and you get it with 2 Remastered if all else fails.
Only problem is consoles are doing this stutter, hitch crash bs as well. I was going to get a console so I could Evil Within & Bioshock in peace, but reviews out their state the ♥♥♥♥ would just follow me to those platforms.
Just to clarify, .dll is part of this file from Nexus?
Agreed. If people were forced to account for their actions, game devs, people posting "fixes", I bet the bs would stop really flipping fast. I just tried the one about adding -dx9 to launch options, that did f all.
I have tried everything before. Nothing worked. After googleing I found a post about a fix and my crashes stopped. For me it worked. I had 4 crashes in 30 minutes before I decided to google and ignore the steam posts about .ini changes that wont fix bad coding.
Yes. There is only one file you need from the folder called Bioshock2CrashFix.dll and this is the one you need to rename to dxgi. Im still playing without a crash so far (But I've read in the post on reddit that it didnt fix the issue for at least one guy in the replies)
