I've had one crash to desktop so far but no other problems.
Keep an eye on the forums. For sure, you aren't going to be the only person having problems. Don't rule out your system---it could easily be something interferring or an out of date driver. Equally, just because people say 'oh I'm fine must be your system', don't rule out the game! It could still be something weird the game is doing that only effects some systems/hardware!
I have a GTX 960, an i5-4950 3.3 ghz, and 16 GB of RAM, and the old version of Bioshock 2 ran fine, other than the occasional crashes. Is there something in the .ini I can change to fix this or something?
Under the Program Settings tab for Bioshock 2, select "off" for Ambient Occlusion.
Now you will have constant 60/120 fps.
Because todays video settings differ from those 9 years ago. There was never ambient occlusion in the old version nor in the remaster, hence it makes trouble when turned on by the gpu control panel. Easy as that. Learn how to operate a computer, numbnuts.
For low settings just use the original version.
