Should I play the remastered versions?
Never played BioShock. I want to get into it, but I don't know if I should play the remastered versions of BioShock 1 and 2. What is more recommended?

The remasters for sure. In Bioshock 1 Remaster there's a new interactive museum that showcases concepts/enemies. They also included the DLC content from the PS3 version.

If you want the Achievements, DLC Challenge Rooms, and Credits(Yeah the original on PC didn't have end game credits) then go for Remastered. I haven't had too many crashes but it depends on your CPU and GPU.

make sure to manually save frequently. Dont load from auto saves and if you crash, be sure to start from the save before that crash *(hence make sure to save frequently)

Remastered is much better.

Better textures
More geometry in a lot of places
Better artwork for the pipe puzzle games.
Less weird mouse acceleration
Fixed "dark spots" that are in shadow that were black squares in the original
NG+
Very Hard Difficulty available
DLC challenge rooms available
The Museum available
Achievements Available

The famed "better audio in the original" is the classic echoey EAX. I personally disliked it anyway.

BS1 original crashed 3 times in 1.5 hours so I switched to the remastered. The remastered had very few crashes by comparison.

Didn't even try BS2 original. BS2 remastered was full of crashes. But I persevered for the achievements.
