Don't Forget HD Patch!

For some reason the patch doesn't download via steam. Downloading it via the Firefly Studio site and applying it worked fine for me. You do have to find the game as the patch can't detect the Steam location. And, watch out for all the adware crap.

If you purchased the Stronghold complete pack or Stronghold collection, you only need to get the HD patch for the "Extreme" edition of the game. You don't need to apply both. For those that aren't in the know - no new content is added. The patch seems to fix a few stability bugs, and makes it so you can run full screen resolutions. It worked for me at 1920x1080.

If I don't play the "Extreme" version of the game, then I would I need the patch for the regular version of the game, or would I still use the "Extreme" patch? For those of you wondering why I don't play the "Extreme" version, it's because I hate the special powers/tactical abilities you gain as a sidebar. I think it's extremely cheap, and ruins the game for me.

I installed just the extreme, and it seemed to work for both versions for me. Let me know if you experience otherwise. Glad you guys like the post. I wish the publisher or whatever would update steam.
