What contribute to the Crowding factor?
For decades I have no clue what it is...

The crowding penalty factor applies when you have more peasants than your population limit. This can happen when hovels are destroyed, or if you disband too many troops. It is roughly calculated at -2 popularity per 8 peasants over the limit.
