All others are ok-ish for their cost.
What you pay more to recruit them you can save in time, but trust me, you need a strong economy to keep pumping them out, while with euros you can have a mediocre economy and still kinda spam troops
Slaves can do a tonne of damage if you are lucky. But with how weak they are, id say they are about right.
Arabian Archers are expensive compared to their European counterparts. Even buying bows is cheaper than getting arab archers. There is an argument (which i disagree at this time) that they are underpowered. at this stage 6 euro archers are equivalent to 5 arab archers. 6 euro archers buying bows cost 258 gold (assuming you could buy 6 bows, instead of being force to buy 5 at a time), 5 arab archers cost 375 gold.
Slingers are often considered underpowered. But they do great for anti-melee. They just drop against any form of ranged unit.
Assassins I actually think are overpowered. They do the most damage for their cost, climb over walls, and are usually invisible, have high health, and with rally point are faster than anything short of horses. Their only weakness is their arrow resistance, but i dont see that as much of a weakness considering they cant be seen till they get close, and the archers take some time to actually start shooting when the assassins do appear.
Horse Archers are... undercosted (which is similar to overpowered, just the solution is different). They do the same damage as arabian archers (actually slightly more), they have the same health, and take less ranged damage, and most importantly they can shoot while moving. All this for a mere 5 gold extra! Only downside is they cant go on walls.
Arabian swordsmen are slow, and therefore take alot of damage before engaging, but are worse than Euro swords in every category except for speed. Certainly not over powered there.
And finally the fire throwers. If used well, and kept out of range of enemy archers, they can do a tonne of damage for one or two. However a cautious opponent can clear your walls before sending troops close enough to get hurt by firethrowers. So again, I dont think they are overpowered.
- Horse archers (for obvious reasons)
- Slingers (if used en masse, great for rushing, spam ranged damage, killing peasants easily, and their melee attack isn't bad for their cost)
- Slaves (maybe, only to start fires/attack weak targets with no range)
- Assassins (usually just to open gates or destroy granaries, barracks etc)
All the other units are actually too expensive IMO because you could just save the money and buy crossbows.
That's just my opinion though, feel free to disagree.
They also save space so you can build more money making production
Arabian ai benefit the most if they have lot of gold or ai that use mercenaries
