Game crashing after clicking on Warchest Trail and Chicken button not working.

I never experienced this bug before, but now it is here. Anyone with the same problem ?
Additionaly there are some graphical bugs, like Mission Title not being displayed, Skirmish Trail Date convuluted with another text, ect.

I too am having the same exact bug, It started after I installed an older version of stronghold crusader from an old cd I had of the game while still having the hd version installed from steam. I tried unistalling older version and restarting computer and uninstalling and reinstalling hd edition, still no fix, any idea how to fix?

Hey guys, I saw a post on Reddit that described the same situation and it worked for me! The solution was deleting all save files and the crusader.cfg file. After that, uninstall and reinstall. The game restarts fresh, but the Warchest trail works again.

I never fixed the issue, however I tried reinstalling and deleting all files over and over again. It seems like I missed something. Thank you!

I also had this issue. This happened to me when upgrading game to 1.4 or something, and downgrading it. So you either delete your config file, or you keep playing 1.41.

If you can, please contact firefly regarding your issue. Maybe they can debug it somehow.

Disable steam cloud saving and after that delete configuration file. If it stills crashes, restore game files through steam.

If you used game modifications make sure that there are no files left after them. After deleting all found files of that mod and deleting crusader.cfg in documents I can normally play warchest. If I deleted only cfg I could not play. (advice also applies to modification files in a different folder than local game files)
