How is it cheating by auto buying or selling?
Do really 2 sec you spend quikcly seelling something give you that much of an advanatage? Id say sure in a shooter like CS GO, but most of time you arent in those situations in Stronghold Crusader.
Please stop insulting people simply because you don't agree. It makes you look worse than the person you are insulting.
It was brought up as something that many modders keep in mind. If they think this way it's less likely to happen, as less devs will be interested in making it despite the inevitable backlash from the multiplayer community.
As for releasing source code, that's essentially asking firefly to throw away money, as the game still provides some profit for them, and releasing source code will end that income stream. I'm sorry, but this type of suggestion is everywhere in this community, and when you think about it it is actually a "screw the people who made it, they don't matter, only my personal opinion and happiness with the game matters" attitude, and it's starting to get a bit tiresome.
No firefly will not release source code, and the likely won't ever spend hundreds of thousands updating it for the couple $$ per sale that people are willing to pay for it. This game is great, amazing even, but we have to accept the reality that as far as firefly is concerned, what we have is most likely the most we will ever get from crusader. Modders are working on doing stuff themselves, but they too have limits.
The rest of the developers I know of are with the UCP, and their changes aren't quite so detailed to be able to make this feature yet, even if they wanted to. While the UCP does care less about multiplayer considerations, they have moved away from implementing cheat features in the past.
