Level 8 Floor Puzzle
Has anyone got a solution for this puzzle? It is blowing my mind! I completed both Grimrock games so I'm no stranger to these types of puzzles but I'm not clicking with this one at all.

I see that each of the 25 tiles affects certain other tiles, but not every tile affects the ones attached to it (some affect tiles on the other side of the room). Is there a pattern to see that I am missing or is the solution actually to write down which tiles each of the 25 affects and then plot a route?

Hello,

yes, you have to somewhat remember what tiles are affected by each tile. You can do it the hard way by noting down everything, or just look everything & try just by moving around (there's actually only 2 or 3 trap doors that are hard to close and keep closed).

Or you can check the solution here : http://steamcommunity.com/app/409450/discussions/3/458606248615074002/ .

I try solve this about 40 minutes and at last I solve it.
Solution: when you start before first trapdoor - N - E - 3xN - 3xW - 3xE - 2xS - 3xW - N - 4xE - 3xN

Would be nice, if this game only had a compass.

@One Eyed Leftist,
depending of what you need & want, maybe it'll be better than nothing =>

Go to "Load Game" -> "Show Data Folder" ; there you should find Dungeon.ini ; close the game then open Dungeon.ini . Under [Game], change this line, from :
DevMode = 0
to:
DevMode = 1

Save the .ini and launch the game again.

You'll then have the Compass & Coordinates on top left of the screen (in blend white text, so not very glamour).
