Getting stuck on the spinning saw blade loading screen.

Every time I start the game it gets to the point right after it recommends playing with a gamepad and then gets stuck. The blade keeps spinning and spinning but nothing happens. I've logged 12 hours into the steam version of the game, never having a problem until today. I deleted the game and reinstalled and it still happens. I've tried a few different resolutions, windowed, fullscreen. Everything I can think of. I haven't changed anything I can think of since the last time I played so I don't understand what it could be. Please help, this game is all I could think about the last few days and I'm getting frustrated. Thanks in advanced to anyone that can help me.

Update: Okay, guess I should have just had patients, after waiting 5 minutes or so I got an "SQL Error" but then it let me play. However Super Meat World isn't working. Are the servers down, or is this a problem on my end? Any way to fix it?
