Slow Glitch makes 5-15x Choke impossible

Ok, so I have gotten about 93% through the game, and up until this point I have noticed a few small lag issues here and there. Dr. Fetus moves far to slowly for the pacing of his boss battles, however I was able to find a way to hop underneath the moving wall of blades and beat him in both dark and light worlds. Brownie was also slow, but that didn't cause any problems. In addition, the moving lasers seem to be too slow, but that simply made a few levels more difficult, not impossible. Now however, I have encountered a level that is simply unbeatable. This level has a specific glitch that causes a maggot to spawn on the floor instead of the ceiling every once in a while, which has numerous threads about it on many boards. My glitch is different. The maggot that is always on the floor doesnt get out of his little tunnel until after the wall of salt comes from behind. I have heard other people having problems with slow lasers, brownie, and dr. fetus, but never with maggots.
Now the usual "fix" for this is to run in -ultralowdetail and/or -320x240 but I have done both to no avail. Another common suggestion is reinstalling and verifying game cache, both of which I have done. The last, and possible least helpful suggestion I have seen is to get a more powerful computer. I don't mean to sound pretentious, but that is not my problem. I have a 3rd gen i7m and a gt750m in my laptop. It can run Just Cause 2 at ultra high with 32xAA, so I don't think my computer needs updating. My drivers are all up to date, and the majority of my disk space and cpu power is unused. So... any suggestions? Any way I can hack the level? Because I need to be able to get it somehow to get Golden God.

It most definitely isn't a problem with your computer specs. It's a long shot, but maybe you could ask if you could complete that level on a friend's computer, maybe? The game has cloud sync so it could work.

When I first saw that, I thought you were suggesting v-sync, which I also tried to no avail. That is a good idea though, hopefully that will work.
