So...does this game have a checkpoint mod?
Kinda annoying that you have to start the entire level over when you die.

Eventually I'm going to get to a point where it's impossible for me to finish the game because I have to consistently not mess up for an entire level.

The game would be much more manageable if one could learn each section instead of having to struggle just to reach the point you are stuck at, simply to die and spend another 20 minutes trying to get back to the same spot you want to practice at.

I don't believe there is one. I don't think there's any mods for this game. But keep playing enough and you wont need checkpoints.

There are levels with hard parts in the end that are copies of levels with an easy beginning. The end of 7-20 for example can be practiced in the beginning of 5-20x. Other than that level and some of the warp zones, most levels are pretty quick. A single Super Mario Bros. level would count for at least 5 SMB levels in terms of distance traveled. I guess the boss battles are a bit long but they should be hard. They're boss battles.

It's all right, if you put in the time, you will get better, whether it seems that way now or not. It is definitely a trial and error game, and a lot of the joy is in following the difficulty curve to get to the end, so checkpoints would really defeat the purpose. It would be a bit like a musician splicing an entire song together from 10 second bits they perfected separately. It probably wouldn't sound quite right or flow like it should. Meat Boy just wouldn't be the same game with checkpoints every ten or twenty seconds.
