Thanks for replying. I tried everything mentioned but I just click PLAY and it says RUNNING for about a milisecond and then just doesnt do anything

Verify Game
Reinstall
Update Drivers (anything easy mentioned in the guide)

It could also have to do with your resolution settings so try look into that (It's in the guide) and see if those work.

What system are you on? (PC, Linux/Mac)

If none of the topics related to your error end up fixing it, you can also try the other topics that have nothing to do with your error and see if that can maybe fix it. Super Meat Boy runs on a very very old engine so anything can fix it, anything can break it so doesn't hurt to try the other topics.

Try to disable steam overlay and if Windows 11 maybe a compatibility mode.

I wonder what Im doing wrong. I followed the steps, is it possible it just wont play on my machine? i have an hp victus gaming laptop with nvidia geforce. I used to play this on my Asus but that beast ran everything

A potato should be able to run this game so you are good there. :-). Only things I can think of is completely remove and reinstall or right click the icon and choose Run as administrator. You could always contact the dev for support.
