Edmund McMillen has gone back on his statement that SMB would not get a sequel.

Despite insisting that a sequel was not a possibility, in a recent interview with Game Informer Edmund McMillen said "a sequel is something that I wouldn’t be opposed to doing even though we both said that we wouldn’t do it." Tommy Refenes also agreed with the possibility of a sequel in the future.

Super Meat Boy pays the bills so he can keep making games like Binding Of Isaac, Fingered, Meowgenics, etc.

Binding Of Isaac just so happened to be a huge hit, even though he didn't expect it.

Besides, it's not like SMB is in any way shape or form a bad game, or an average game for that matter at all.
So what's bad about more of something good?!

Lol, I thought SMBF was going to be the sequel but as fun as that game will probably be I'm glad they decided to make a proper sequel.

Technically they haven't decided, all they've decided is that it's up for consideration in the future.
